Its unbelievable how fast mixed martial arts (mma) has become a mainstream sport. Not too long ago John Mccain reffered to the sport as human cockfighting and tried to ban the spectacle. The problem is most of us love the essence of this sport, two men scrapping it out in what looks like a drunken bar fight. Since the gladiator days we love violence in sports. On the other hand, Dana and company legitimized the sport by incorporating rules and getting sanctioned by different commissions. Also, A pay per view event Once and sometimes twice a month surely helps. To conclude, UFC has used effective marketing and made mma a legitimate sport thats taking over the sports world.
